About Industrial Solutions

Industrial Solutions is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley near Elkton, Virginia, convenient to Interstates 81 and 64 as well as US Routes 33 and 340. Most of the people who are employed by the company are from the Elkton area. Many were previously employed in the local textile industry, some in the poultry industry, and some in retail. All have a common objective – to meet customer needs.

Each of the up to 25 employees is focused on doing what the customer wants done, as quickly and as effectively as it can be done. They realize, through previous experience, that providing cost effective, value-adding services is the key to Industrial Solutions’ success and stable employment. The staff at Industrial Solutions is a flexible, quality conscious extension of the customer’s own staff, fully aware of their role in the customer’s business success. Most of the regular staff at Industrial Solutions have backgrounds in manufacturing or customer service industries, some in supervisory roles. Other part-time positions are filled with local and talented individuals, many with previous experience in various industries.

Our facility includes a 2,500 square foot shop and small part assembly area, and 25,000 manufacturing and warehousing space. Most of our materials and products are shipped via common carrier, with several major carrier lines operating from nearby terminals. Additional 70,000 square feet in the same building is occupied by Virginia Industrial Plastics, a plastic parts production facility. Customers often find the combined services of two companies offers “one-stop-shopping” for their plastic product’s production.

Industrial Solutions, LLC, is owned and operated by Bob and Sharon Spencer. Bob Spencer’s engineering background and experience gained through a 25-year career of manufacturing and technical management with DuPont gives Industrial Solutions’ customers a unique resource for managing their projects. Sharon Spencer’s previous career in the education field assures that training of Industrial Solutions’ staff is accomplished to meet the customer’s needs.
